In order to continue to provide the best services it is necessary to have policies in place to honor both our time and efforts as well as our clients.
We have four main policies:
- Privacy Policy
- Cancellation Policy
- Non-Sufficient Funds and Payment for Services Policy
Privacy Policy
Information you share with Therapy in Transition LLC through written forms or during session conversations, and/or any documentation prepared by Therapy in Transition relating to you, is privileged information and will not be shared with anyone for any reason without your expressed written direction to do so. This policy does not apply to any current or future partners of the practice who might act in a consulting capacity, or might provide services in the absence of your primary consultant. It will be standard operating procedures for partners to jointly review cases to help ensure that plans and approaches are in the best interest of the client and are appropriate in the view of the reviewing consultant. It is also possible that another consultant could be asked to accompany your primary consultant during part of a session to provide consulting services during that session. In this case, this same privacy policy applies to that or any consultant involved in providing service, consulting, or reviewing any information related to your services. In exception, we must provide information requested by any local, state, or federal government agency which makes the request in accordance with, and as directed by prescribed law.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Fee Assessments: No cancellation fee will be assessed for appointment cancellations made 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
A charge of ½ the fee for the scheduled session will be assessed for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. This fee can be applied to a rescheduled appointment if the subsequent appointment is not cancelled or rescheduled.
Late Fee Assessments: Clients who are greater than 15 minutes late for appointments will be charged the full session price; the session will end at the same time the scheduled appointment would have ended had the session started on time. If the client is more than thirty minutes late the appointment may be cancelled altogether. If the session is canceled, ¼ of the fee will be applied to the next session if it is booked at the time of cancellation and if the subsequent session is not postponed or canceled.
No Show: Full session fees will be assessed for scheduled appointments whenever the client does not show up for the appointment. No credit shall be given under these circumstances.
Workshop Fees: All fees are payable in full prior to start of workshops to hold a space. If the participant provides less than 1 week (5 business days) notice to Therapy in Transition of withdrawl fees are non-refundable. If the cancellation is done with six or more business days in advance of first workshop date then all fees minus $50 will be refundable. NSF & Payment for Services Policy
There will be a charge of $35.00 for any check returned NSF. Clients will be expected to either physically pick-up or make arrangements to have the check picked-up, pay for the services and the NSF fees within 10 days of notice of the NSF charges. Failure to follow this policy will result in the check being turned over to the district attorney's office for prosecution. Once a check has been turned over to the district attorney's office Therapy in Transition will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
Any person/persons who issue more than one NSF check to Therapy in Transition will be required to make all payments by cash for future appointments.
Payment for services at community activities will be collected at the completion of services. New clients may be required to pay prior to the service. Established clients will be required to pay immediately after the service has been provided. Corporate fees for services will are due upon receipt. A fee of 1.8% will be assessed to all amounts over thirty days past due and for each 30 days that there is a past due amount. At such time corporate fees are in arrears greater than 30 days then a stop-work order will be issued; at this time all past fees will continue to accrue interest.
Personal check, corporate check, Visa, MasterCard, and cash are acceptable forms of payments.
It is the responsibility of the client to fully express session expectations prior to the start of any session. Consultants will revise session plans to meet those stated expectations as long as they are made prior to the start of a session.
It is the client's responsibility to provide feedback during a session. No refund for services provided will be made unless the client expressed dissatisfaction with the service being received during that session, and provided specifics about the reason for the dissatisfaction. This provides the consultant the opportunity to meet the client's expectations and needs during every session.
If a client decides to discontinue a session that is in progress, charges for the full session may be assessed.
