Interactive Pet Therapy

Loving, Composing, Relaxing
Our Interactive Pet Therapy program is our founding and guiding energy. It is because of this program that Therapy in Transition exists. Just as our other services in this program are unique, this one is even more so. There are many reports available that support the unlimited healing potential of interacting with animals, but when this interaction is supported by a higher intention completed in an open and safe communication environment – change happens!
Loving
We work with you compassionately during the most difficult of times and challenges in tandem with the unconditional love and support of man’s best friend. At this time we have two dogs well on their way to being fully certified therapy dogs.
Our intention with offering the Interactive Pet Therapy program is to allow you to be in a space where there is no need to hold your composure so you are freely able to experience love while relaxing your expectations and just allowing yourself to be.
Thanks so much for my CranialSacral session! The things that you said about my fourth and fifth chakras were very helpful.

Composing
Our uniqueness in this program lies in the power of complementary healing. We allow you to interact lovingly with one of the therapy dogs in training while we are conducting a coaching session. During the conversation and discussion of delving into solutions to your current challenges, we are also invoking the healing energy of Reiki.
Aine, the elder of the two canines, will be four in April 2010. She has completed three of the four levels necessary to be certified, with the fourth being scheduled fo the spring of 2010. Aine is named after the Celtic Goddess Aine, who oversees the human-animal relationship as well as environmental concerns. Our precious Aine has an immense amount of love to share and joy to brighten even what might be the darkest of times. We are excited to see her begin to flourish as a therapy dog. Aine's first 'session' was December 10th when she joined Karen for a CranioSacral/Reiki session with a client stricken with Cerebral Palsy. Aine, did amazing and she was requested to be present the following week for a second follow-up session.
Relaxing
Tucker, the younger of our dogs, will be four in December 2010. He has completed three of the four levels necessary for full certification, and we’ve set the intention for the fourth level to be completed by his fifth birthday. Tucker is strong and protective, yet loving and with more energy than one would think possible. Our funny and rambunctious Tucker provides the right dose of energy for those individuals needing a boost of motivation to get moving and step into action.
While both our dogs are in training the fees associated with these sessions are for travel time and mileage reimbursement only; the fees assessed are based on distance traveled. We are also providing this service on a donation basis for those who are home-bound due to medical challenges. If you know someone who could benefit from this amazing program, you may also gift the mileage and travel time on their behalf.
