Two Year Olds - the wonder of me!

I wanted to share with you my son has just now turned two and I thought - WOW, the 'terrible twos' don't take long to kick in. It was as though a light switch went on and he immediately has stepped into the role of 'me' and what 'me' wants and what 'me' needs. We are enjoying the learning curve of dealing and meeting him exactly where he is but am wondering if anyone has any tips to make embracing the 'me' stage of the twos more effectively.
