Meet Your Life & Business Transition, Crisis and Change Management Coaching Expert

So much to know and yet so little time in which you have to read and learn about me. So here is a little blurb to help you get started ...

I am the founder and co-creative director of Therapy in Transition, as well as a Life and Business Transition, Crisis and Change Management Facilitator. My professional background includes a combination of experiences in both the public and private business business sectors and I have worked in businesses that have been start ups through to 1000-plus employees.

I think my background which includes the health, automotive and educational industries I "get" what it means to put your heart and soul into your passion and work to see it come to full completion.

I never thought working at a boat marina, health & fitness club or at a financial investment firm would all come together and actually support me in following my own heart and passion but it does. Looking back, every position I ever held, no matter how odd it seemed at the time, supports me today in successfully supporting my clients..

Karen's Personal Mission Statement

"There is no such thing as a glass ceiling, it is only story belonging to another we've adopted as our own. When we shine the light of our heart on what seems to be a smudge on the glass, it not only reveals the fable but it unveils the true height of our abilities. My mission is support individuals in guiding them to open their hearts for the smudge to finally be revealed."

Karen's Quirk!

There are so many--really! Ketchup on Toast. There. It is out. Being Canadian ketchup I think is just part of our being and one of my favorite toast toppings is ketchup. It drives my husband crazy but I think I may just have my son hooked already at the age of 2.

Karen's BIO

Thank you for sharing your valuable time to learn a little more about me and what fuels my passion in both my work and my personal life. My primary passion is my family. I am married to an amazing and supportive husband and am mother to an out-of-this-world crystal baby born in Spring 2008. My family, of course, also includes two very loving and precious dogs, along with an independent and adventurous feline. Through these light beings I am able to learn daily, teach often, and laugh continuously; they are the creative source that inspires me to step off and trust my wings.

Karen offered her knowledge and great energy to help to launch my business. She searched through my material, sorted it, and knew exactly what steps needed to be done right away. She is highly experienced in using marketing tools and defining a clear strategy with action steps. She listened to my needs and gave her whole compassion to create a fitting strategy. She worked fast and precisely with her heart integrated. I highly recommend her.

~ Simone from Germany

I began my journey of personal growth in my early 20s. I was amazed at what I was uncovering, discovering and rediscovering through the work I was doing. Bringing meditation into my life allowed me to find my center, my balance. Expanding my reading to be more than the best sellers list gave me a sense of what others were experiencing and how I might apply it in my own life. Seeking the support of different types of professionals enabled me to view my life not through a microscope but rather a "macroscope," and I quickly learned my thoughts, actions, and words impacted more than just myself or those in my immediate world. My library of books read is now very extensive, and my list of "to-read" expands by the day.

Professional Experience

The combination of Karen's experiences and the skill sets outlined below allow her to offer any organization or individual a powerful and unique combination of support.

Academic History

My philosophy on education is that learning never stops and that each of us are students first and employees/managers/supervisors second. I believe this to be true, as it is my belief that if a person is not committed to her ongoing self-improvement and self-growth, then she becomes stagnant both professionally and personally. My work experience is complemented by my academic experience.
