Ten Million Stars

Inside each raindrop swims the Sun.

Inside each flower breathes the moon.

Inside me dwell 10 million stars.

One for each of my ancestors:

The elk, the rave then, the mouse, the man,

The flower, the coyote, the lion, the fish.

Ten million different stars am I,

But only one spirit, connecting all

This poem by Nancy Woods provokes in me the thought that all things of matter are connected. It makes me ponder the concept that in all matter is light, and that light animates all life. If light is in all matter and gives life to all things, then truly I am filled with ten million stars! I am connected to my ancestors; my ancestors are me. Therefore, putting this concept into play would mean that I could heal my lineage.

I am the sun, I am the moon, I am within all things and all things are within me. And if this is true and we live by this thought and concept, we are truly responsible for everything on our planet and in our solar system, having a responsibility to treat all things as we would treat ourselves: with respect, love and compassion as we live our lives with impeccability.

It is possible to remember you future and foretell your past. You are healing it forward and backward through time for it is a circle.
