Crystals and Your Chakras: Anahata

The Heart or fourth Chakra Anahata means “unstruck.” This Chakra is located at the center of the breast bone just to the right of where your actual heart is in your chest. The color associated with this Chakra is green, the element is air, and the sacred Geometry is the Star of David, otherwise known as a Merkaba. The instinct that is associated with this Chakra is love and relationship. That is why when we are out of balance in this Chakra we have heartache; it is not that our literal physical heart is hurting, it is that this Chakra is not functioning properly and therefore there is discomfort.

As I had touched on in my last blog, there are sounds associated with our Chakras called “Seed Sound.” The one is associated with Anahata is “Lam.” Chanting this sound during mediation is very beneficial and can bring this Chakra into balance.

Heart/Fourth Anahata Chakra

Balanced= Self-acceptance/love, compassion, balance in relationships and toward self.

Imbalance= Asthma, lung disease, heart disease, high blood pressure sunken chest, shallow breathing, isolation, low self-esteem, co-dependence, clinging behaviors.

Nutritional support= Vegetables

Meditation= Breath work with “Deep Breath” to move the air equal to kidney breathing in Reiki.

Some crystals and stones to work with to open and clear the Heart Chakra are listed below. I have my personal favorite: Ruby Lavender Quartz. I use it in essence form, I put it in my water every day and in my spa when I meditate, and I even put it in my favorite oil and massage it in after a shower. Please use a sense of wonder and play when working with these vibrations, for they are subtle yet profound helpers on your path to health and well-being.
