Crystals and Your Chakras: Ajna

The Third Eye or sixth Chakra, Ajna, means “to know, to perceive or to command.” This Chakra is located at the brow, one finger’s width above the eyebrows in the center of the forehead. The color associated with this Chakra is indigo blue. The element of Ajna is light, and the function of it is seeing and intuition. The sacred geometry is a circle with a downward pointing triangle. The seed sound is “Om,” which is considered to be the sound of creation and the universe. The owl/butterfly are the animals associated with this Chakra. The other attributes include visual perception, imaginings, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, intuition, ability to shamanic trance.

The Third Eye/Sixth Ajna Chakra

Balanced= Ability to see on the interior television/u-vision, lucid dreaming, knowingness, clear vision. (“Imagination is more important than knowledge.” ~ Albert Einstein)

Imbalance= Headaches, nightmares, poor vision, blurred vision, poor ability to daydream.

Nutritional Support= None.

Foods= Entheogens.

Meditation= Meditate on a visual object; i.e., Sri Yantra or candle.

Crystals and Stones= There are many stones that help to bring balance to this most wonderful Chakra. I have to say that my absolute favorite is Electric Blue Sheen Obsidian. It is amazing and helps to enhance your ability to journey into realms that our ordinary sight can’t even comprehend. It is a master of bringing you into your “true” sight. I use it in essence form during my workday to enhance my ability to work and see energy energy.
