Perfect Moment Monday: Golf Tourney "Fore" a Good Cause
By Karen Kleinwort ~ 8/31/2010
My Perfect Moment for this week …
Well, it seems I missed sharing my Perfect Moment this week—but that does not mean there weren’t any. Definitely there was excitement building up to last Friday’s Blue Butterfly Campaign fundraiser golf tournament. The power of people coming together to help raise funds for research was enough to carry over be two perfect moments of focus.
Last week would have been the joy found in connecting with a local Oregon tree farm: Brooks Tree Farm in Brooks, Oregon. They were happy to provide us a very reasonable price to purchase enough saplings for Therapy in Transition to put in the golfers’ grab bags. The trees were Douglas Firs—Oregon’s official tree.
This week’s perfect moment was being in attendance as they did the life auction and raised more than $13,000; the final amount raised has yet to be made public, but the live auction alone surprised what Jayne and Chris Dearborn, the founders of Blue Butterfly Campaign, had hoped to raise.
Each week I participate in Perfect Moment Monday, sponsored by WeeblesWobblog.com. According to Weebles, "Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect Moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between." And so, here is a Perfect Moment for this week.
Until next time, embrace your inner wisdom.
Namaste,
Karen
