Health and the Law of Attraction
By Karen Kleinwort ~ 2/23/2010
Can the law of attraction help you heal and restore your natural state of health and well being? The answer is definitely “Yes.” Well, that is as long you believe in the power of your own mind and you know the basic principles of how to attract good health.
Law of Attraction
The Law Of Attraction (LOA) simply states that you can attract whatever you want into your life by focusing on it with your entire being. This means if you focus on healing yourself and staying healthy with your actions and thoughts (both conscious and subconscious), you can feel healthy again.
The key to truly invoking the principles of LOA is action, and as far as actions are concerned you need to take conscious steps in order to stay healthy. For instance, just thinking about becoming a healthy weight won’t do you any good if you continue to gorge on junk food. The Law of Attraction only works if you believe in it fully: whole body, mind and spirit! If your thoughts don’t match your actions, then there is a disconnection and it begins with an emotional element deeper inside into which you consciously want to admit or delve.
The Big Picture
In order to attract good health, you also need to be careful about what you are thinking. Most of us are conditioned in such a way that when we focus on what we want, we automatically also start thinking about what we don’t! Either way, the universe is going to bring into your life that on which you are focused. Remember, the universe or source does not judge us on our thoughts; it just responds to the energy output accordingly.
Potential Challenges
Another challenge is that a lot of times our thoughts are not so focused as we would like them to be. For instance, some of us come up with very vague visualizations of a healthy life. LOA, however, works best when we visualize specific things.
This concept makes a lot of sense even if you look at it from a logical point of view. Ask yourself in which situation are you able to deliver your peak performance: When you know exactly what you want, or when you have a vague idea of the kind of result for which you are aiming? The answer will tell you why the Law of Attraction works best when you are focused on exactly what you want to manifest.
Visualizing what you want in your life repeatedly will leave a strong imprint on your subconscious, and your instinctive actions and thoughts will start pushing you toward the goal even when you are not consciously thinking of it.
Healing Thy Self
The Law of Attraction can also work in speeding up the healing process even in cases of chronic diseases/illnesses. Our mind (ego) plays a huge role in determining the state of our health. You may have noticed if you spend a whole day feeling morose or glum, you don’t feel physically strong or healthy either. Similarly, a little distraction when you are lying sick in bed makes you forget momentarily how weak you are feeling or how much your body is aching. This happens because for the few moments that you are distracted you don’t focus on your illness. We can therefore conclude that if we visualize happy images when we are sick, our body will start feeling better automatically. The more focused we are on our mental images, the better we are likely to feel.
It is important to understand that the Law of Attraction is not simply some new age concept; it is, in fact, a universal law that can be backed by solid, logical arguments. The law works for everything in life, whether it’s your emotional, physical, mental or material health! The underlying principle of the Law of Attraction is that to “attract” you MUST “act”! Without your actions backing your thoughts and intentions, the potential for disappointment increases. For every action there is a reaction. Simply put, when you desire a change or require a fulfillment to a need, then you must take conscious action toward achieving the outcome you are seeking. Without action there is no reaction.
Until next time, embrace your inner wisdom.
Namaste,
Karen
