Happy New Year

Another year has just begun, and already I can feel the energy shift with just the power of the number change. Setting intentions for the coming year seemed to come easier than before, and I am grateful for the growth and experiences that I received during 2009.

One of the realizations I have had in the last 12 hours has been that what seemed as procrastinating on writing this blog was actually me working through the element of trusting in the timing, and why I needed to wait to write it until this morning was due to experiencing the shift at midnight.

My family and I celebrated the coming of the new year with family in Puerto Rico at a traditional Puerto Rican style party: a band, a full pig roasted over coals, all by the pool side and with the company of 50 family and friends. What I experienced was how strong yet flexible my foundation has become. We learn to build our foundational values on stone to ensure they can withstand the test of time, experiences and growth. This morning I look at my foundation quite differently than one built on stone, but rather one built on interlocking stones that are connected to each other for strength but made with many pieces which provide the flexibility to replace and expand as lessons in life provide the means.

Throughout our journey we learn many lessons, and with each of these experiences so too do we define and continue to refine our values system. It is this flexibility for which I am most grateful. I am able to move forward more confidently as I expand and embrace what the universe is sending my way.

2010 will be a spectacular year for everyone; I am grateful for each of those in my life who continue to support me and my dreams.
